What can I say?
I actually think she made the right decision and I don't think I made that decision until the last episode...
Jesse just seemed more sincere. And how can you compare Jason's response to Jeremy's? Jeremy's need to try to win her back just made Jason's acceptance and willingness to move on seem more contrived. When Jeremy came back, it was the first time that anything on the show really seemed REAL, you know? Like it could happen that way in the real world.
I think DeAnna's sister-in-law hit the nail on the head when she said that while DeAnna wanted a family, she was not really ready for one just yet. I think that's true, and I give DeAnna props for admitting that she was wrong about what she wanted from the beginning.
In the end she went with her heart, and while that is not always the best decision, it is more romantic and it is what most people end up doing in the long run. I won't say anything about the current divorce rate and any possible relation to that. :o)
She wanted the fairy-tale ending, and Jason just wasn't it.
I think I will add a poll on here to see if people think they will make it in the long run. If you're reading this, vote and let your opinion be heard...
It was funny to watch Shayne and Matt too! I still don't believe they are a real couple. What can I say, I'm a little cynical. Replaying the proposal made me laugh out loud! She is so fake. Sorry if you like her; I have my opinion, and nothing you can say will change it.
So it's over, so sad. Can't wait to watch the paparazzi websites for pictures of Graham and his future flings! I'd still rather watch a Maroon 5 video.
This is it my friends. I hope you enjoyed my commentary as much as I enjoyed writing it all. Remember, look with your heart, but see with your brain. That doesn't make any sense, does it?
:o)
Cheers!

Men Tell... well not much really...
Well, my friends, it's almost over... I'm a little sad already!
I was not too impressed with the Men Tell All episode, although it did give Graham another chance to mess with DeAnna's head! He's harsh when he's hurt! Someone said they think he looks like Adam Levine (from Maroon 5). To that I say: Hey, Graham is cute, but don't insult Adam like that! He's my boy! Adam, if you're reading this, I will leave my husband for you, just say the word baby! :o) I think maybe Adam looks like a cross between Richard and Graham (click on the picture for a close-up examination)...
Jeremy was ready to start bawling right then and there - I almost cried for him.
Twilley seemed much more down-to-earth, probably because there was less pressure. I still want to hang out with him!
Ron -
Q: Jealous?
A: NO!
;O)
And did you catch the end when Fred accepted a date from a lovely lady in the audience? Good for him! By the way, does anyone think Fred looks a little like Gavin DeGraw?

Okay, I think I've said about all I can say about all these guys, so I'm just gonna have a little fun.
Did you notice the pimple on Jason's forehead? Must be getting nervous... by the way, what is an account executive exactly? Just a guy with a job I guess. He's like your everyday guy that would probably make a great husband. I wonder why she hasn't asked him why his first marriage ended? Maybe she did and they just didn't show it.
Jesse has changed his spots, telling DeAnna that he's ready for marriage a week after telling his dad that he wasn't ready. Oops! By the way, did he ever answer her question about what he's going to do with his life after snowboarding? Probably just open a snowbard shop or something. Thank GOD he was joking about having to meet her father before sleeping with her!
Jeremy, as we know, was let go... he's now free to wander around lawns and mope sadly by trees. Why are men so afraid to cry in front of people (except for Robert of course)? I'm betting he's now going to crack down at work and spend endless hours being a good lawyer and not date (which is sad). If he can just get over DeAnna I'm sure there are hundreds of girls out there that would love a handsome lawyer for a husband! I did like in the Men Tell All how he straight up asked her how she could dump him after sleeping with him! HA HA HA!!! Nothing like blunt!
Alrighty, one more episode left. I promise I will try to get my thoughts posted quickly after that one! My guess at this point is Jason. Unless she is lying about being okay with Ty, then he's the obvious choice. Stable, attractive (I'm told), caring, and in love with her. If she doesn't choose him because he's too "safe" then she has been basically lying to all of us the whole time. Let's see if she stays true to her word.
Hey, we know she's engaged! So the fairy tale ending does happen. I wonder if it will last? hmmmmm.....

How Many Times did You Cry?
I don't know if it was the sappy music in the background or what was actually happening, but I think I cried four times during this episode. And I said 'meet the family' week was going to be boring!
*Graham, a 29-year-old professional basketball player from Raleigh, NC
Wow! He blew it! She blew it! I just got done watching the show, and my emotions are still in turmoil. I don't even know what to say.
If this was a movie, Graham would have either poured his heart out that last night before getting into the limo, or she would have stopped the limo after reading his card, and they would have lived happily ever after.
But he was right to be a little angry with her I think. She gave him this big speech about how he wouldn't open up to her and put his feelings on the line, and then she says that she's letting him go because she doesn't want to get hurt again. So who isn't really putting it all on the line for love?
I think both of them.
The fact that he wrote her a letter to tell her all that he was feeling shows to me that he does care a lot about her and wished that he could express it better verbally. That's sad. I'm willing to bet that if he had given her that letter an hour earlier, she would have picked differently.
Then the analytical side of my brain pipes in and reminds me that he's creating an awful lot of drama, and who really needs all the drama when you're looking for marriage? Choosing a husband (which is what DeAnna claims she is doing) is not an easy task, and you can't just use your heart to gauge who's the best fit for you. You have to use your brain too, and that's where Graham falls behind. He would make a great passionate love affair that ends badly but leaves great memories. Or he would make a jealous ex-husband.
This means that the rumors of Graham leaving early aren't true, but I've also heard rumors that she continues talking to him after the show. I believe that one. I cried when they were both crying. I am such a SAP!!!!!
Bye, Graham.
*Jason, a 31-year-old account executive from Kirkland, WA
Jason really is everything DeAnna sees in her future, except that he already has it and she doesn't. The question is whether or not she wants to jump into a ready-made family.
I really liked Jason this time, and he seemed to have a really great family. Seeing them cook a bunch of Greek food for DeAnna was sweet and shows that they are considerate people. Nice in-laws is a BIG plus in my book. Bad in-laws can ruin your life!
Two things that struck me: First, DeAnna's never heard of the space needle? Weird... and second: the whole time they were showing DeAnna hanging out with Jason and Ty and getting along so well, all I could think about is how Ty's mother must have felt watching her son be part of some other family. I cried when Jason had to say goodbye to Ty again, but I bet Jason's ex-wife was crying harder than any of us. That's her little boy!
Gosh, I better stop or I'll start crying again. Maybe it's because I have a two and three year old, so my heartstrings get pulled real easy right now.
I almost wish that DeAnna could have also met Ty's mother, because she is the one person that might actually WANT to make DeAnna miserable if she picks Jason.
ROSE!
*Jeremy, a 30-year-old real estate attorney from Dallas, TX
Okay, I have to preface this with reality: my husband rides street bikes. I liked Jeremy SO MUCH MORE this week! Hahahahahaha! It's amazing how a few hundred pounds of metal between your legs can make you much hotter!
Jeremy is definitely falling hard for DeAnna and has already convinced himself (and told her) that he NEEDS her. Bad word! No one likes a NEEDY partner!
She does however fit into his family like the missing piece of a jigsaw puzzle. Everyone in the room lost their parents pretty young. Kind of a sad puzzle. DeAnna might not want so much heartache. Plus that means only one grandparent for her future kids. Something to think about, that's all I'm saying...
I don't think DeAnna is going to pick Jeremy in the end. She just keeps saying how perfect he is, but... she needs to be in love too. Maybe someone should tell her that you don't always fall in love in a few weeks?
Nah, never mind! Then she can't have her fairy-tale ending.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot - I cried when he read his journal. If this episode was dripping with any more sap I would need a bottle of rubbing alcohol to get it all off.
ROSE!
*Jesse, a 25-year-old professional snowboarder from Breckenridge, CO
Jesse is the only guy that didn't make me cry this week. Thanks, dude!
Jesse definitely got hotter in my book this week. Seeing any guy show great expertise at something physical does it for me! I'm so easy to please (by the way, my husband kicks a** on a motorcycle)!
I think watching him show DeAnna how to snowboard finally made him seem like a MAN instead of a boy. It was refreshing.
But... when Jesse told his dad that he could see being in a serious relationship but not marriage I knew that he wasn't going to be the right pick for her. She wants three babies by 30 and she's 26 now??!!? I don't think Jesse is ready for that.
When she asked his dad if he was ready, his dad said he was but he was scared. I think that might have been a little wishful thinking. But heck, what do I know?
At least he finally kissed her! The previews show him possibly turning down the overnight date because he hasn't met her father yet. Sounds honorable, but how does meeting her father all of a sudden make it okay to sleep with her? Is he going to ask her father for his daughter's hand in bed? Not likely....
ROSE!
I wish we had a big electric board somewhere - like the kind that tell you much the lottery is for this week. But instead it would count the number of girls that have either already contacted Graham or are online right now looking for the cheapest plane tickets to get to the "Men Tell All" episode so they can have some sort of clandestine meeting with the guy.
Might not be so hard to forget about DeAnna after all, huh? :o)

The Final Four
I think I have a mental block for Monday night television. Missed the show AGAIN but watched it tonight on abc.com.
Quick note about the "interview" hour with DeAnna: If you missed it, go back and watch Brian... I was laughing my butt off!
So the bachelors and DeAnna went to (gasp!) Palm Springs this week. Sorry, did that sound a bit snotty? Having lived in California all my life, I'd much rather go to Tahiti or Jamaica or somewhere tropical at least. Heck, I'd rather go to New York City. California is very pretty but SO not edgy or cool! Even the freaks in San Francisco (I can call them freaks because I used to live there) that think they're edgy and cool really aren't.
So they all went to (gasp!) Palm Springs. I wonder how long of a drive it was from their pad in Southern California to their new pad in Southern California... okay, okay, I digress! Riding quads looked pretty fun, and going to Frank Sinatra's house would be EXTREMELY cool! I absolutely loved her 50's dress, very classy.
I think DeAnna did a pretty good job talking to all the guys this time (except Twilley) and getting to know them a little better. She definitely likes to be complimented; her face just lights up every time one of the guys says something really nice to her! It's very cute!
Speaking of the guys:
*Graham, a 29-year-old professional basketball player from Raleigh, NC
Still say DeAnna wants him BAD! Did she ask for a kiss again? I couldn't hear what she said. She got one, though! Graham seems to have gotten over the need to have her all for himself or not at all. He sort of set her up for the meeting with the family by joking around about how his family was going to wonder what she saw in him, and the previews for next week seemed to confirm that!
I'm really starting to think that he isn't the right guy for her. But those are the ones we always want the most, don't we??? We always want to tame the bad boys.
Has anyone else noticed (did I already mention this?) that he never LOOKS at her?!! It's unnerving! I wouldn't be able to handle that - I'd be grabbing his jaw and turning his head to me and demanding that he look at me once in awhile... sheesh! ROSE!
*Jason, a 31-year-old account executive from Kirkland, WA
Jason is still in the lead in our little poll here! He didn't take any chances on the quads, which means he's probably not out doing sports stuff very often, which DeAnna seems to enjoy doing. She made note of the fact that he just rode the quad in a straight line the whole time. Poor guy, not everyone is extreme, give him a break!
I thought it was really sweet how he told another guy that he really didn't like it for the first time when Jesse interrupted them at the pool. I think he's surprising himself with the strength of his feelings for her.
DeAnna gets to meet Ty next week. Not sure how I feel about that yet. I suppose it will depend on how she is portrayed to him. If she's introduced sort of as his girlfriend, I will be irritated. But if she's introduced as just a friend, that's not so bad. I can't believe they actually interviewed him... he can't be more than four years old. Hopefully they made it a very stress-free atmosphere for the kid. What an odd experience it must have been for him.
Shallow picky note: I don't like Jason's nose. It hooks like a beak. He looks much better from the front view than in profile. But let's face it, there is always something wrong with the good guys - that's why we always fall for the bad boys (see Graham above)!
Anyhow - like you didn't guess: ROSE!
*Jeremy, a 30-year-old real estate attorney from Dallas, TX
Plays the part of the debonair suitor quite well. But he's boring! Serious love and commitment vibes can only take you so far - then you need an actual personality! Do they make you check your personality at the door when you pass the bar?
Another shallow picky note: I'm just really not finding Jeremy attractive anymore. I know that I gave them all the benefit of the doubt in the beginning, because personality can change your visual appeal in my opinion. Jeremy's (lack of)personality has lowered his visual appeal.
I was also cracking up when Twilley was joking about Jeremy being a superhero mutant guy... :o)
One thing I do know is that real estate attorneys make bank, so if she picks him, she probably won't have to work anymore. Not the worst way to pick a man, is it? Kidding, kidding!
But he did get to go to Frank Sinatra's house and hang out, so I'm jealous of him because of that! ROSE!
*Jesse, a 25-year-old professional snowboarder from Breckenridge, CO
Was it my glasses or did Jesse get cute for a minute, and then went back to not-so-cute? Someone needs to tell that boy to lose the hat-hair and the shirt and he will get LOADS more chicks!
DeAnna said she was sad that he didn't try to kiss her. I think he really wanted to by the look on his face, but may have gotten a little too nervous. Sitting across a table isn't really the best way to kiss anyway. But he could have stepped up to the plate and figured it out. Heck, he could have at least told her he wanted to kiss her. Then she could have told him she wanted him to also.
I can't wait to see his family! I bet they love him a lot even though he's a "triangle" as he put it. I hope he gets the nerve to kiss her next week, a good kiss is another great way to change your visual appeal (but you still need a good personality, Jeremy)! ROSE!
*Sean, a 33-year-old martial arts master from Crestwood, KY
Okay, perhaps I was wrong about the mention of DeAnna's mother last week. Sounds like he did spend some time getting to know her. Too little, too late though.
Was I hearing things or did he call her 'babe' in he hammock? If he did, I think it may have been a little premature. I really didn't see any chemistry between Sean and DeAnna. What can you say? If it's not there, it's just not there. He seemed to take the rejection in stride though, which is nice in comparison to jerks like Robert last week!
Well, let's look on the bright side - he got a better haircut out of this whole experience, and will probably be fighting the girls off of him with a stick now... SORRY! NO ROSE!
*Twilley, a 33-year-old software programmer from Tulsa, OK
Twilley just never had a chance, did he? Motion sickness can be a high hurdle to jump when you are trying to compete with other, more macho dudes. Plus almost zero one-on-one time with DeAnna.
Watching him bag on Jeremy for being too perfect made me laugh out loud for the only time in this whole episode! I'm having second thoughts about Twilley: I think he would be a really cool guy to date and/or marry... once the novelty of being in love wears off, he would still be there making you laugh.
But I suppose you need to have the right sense of humor to really appreciate the Twilleys of the world. I actually do have that sense of humor. Twilley, if you're reading this, I'm married, sweetheart, but we can hang! SORRY! NO ROSE!
Good lord, we have to meet the fams next week, don't we? I always hate that episode the most! Everyone is too serious and it's the same boring talks every time. Except the fake family last season... that was hilarious!
Actually, meeting little Ty will be different. And hearing Graham's mother tell DeAnna that he's afraid of commitment will be CLASSIC!!! So maybe it won't be too bad this time *she said with a prayer in her heart and a bolt of lightning on it's way down...*
Tell me what you thought!

The Dichotomy that is DeAnna
Random post here. I really want your thoughts on DeAnna.
On one hand, she is very strong-willed, opinionated, and sure of herself. She acts like a hard-core feminist at times which is (in my opinion) not all that feminine. Then she does things like name a star for Jason's son, and post a love note on a billboard for Jesse. Then I think she's really a sweet girl who is more concerned with pleasing her partner than herself. These things surprised me. I didn't see them coming.
I too am very strong-willed, opinionated, and self-assured, but I want my husband to be happy. In this respect, the biggest problem that I face is that occasionally I start to feel as though being really nice and selfless to my man is actually just being a submissive wimp. I have to consistently remind myself that he is not oppressing me because I am making the conscious decision to compromise on a lot of things in life. Sounds silly, doesn't it?
Anyway, is DeAnna a dichotomy, or can these two sides of her be real?
Give me your opinions on this! You can be Anonymous, I don't care and it's not a contest. I am just honsestly interested in everyone's thoughts on these two seemingly opposed facets of DeAnna's personality. Also, do you ever have these weird feelings that I described?
Don't be afraid, I don't bite (unless you want me to!)...
Wanted: Romance
WANTED: ROMANCE! WHERE IS IT???
Okay, I'm back from the gym and feeling *slightly* better about myself!
This episode was just drama, drama, drama, wasn't it? I think it's going to get a lot harder from now on... all the guys left seem pretty cool or funny or cute or laid back and it's going to be hard to see them leave.
Funniest moment of the night? When one guy says something like "We're losing our cook, our comic relief... and Jason." Nice!
One quick note about negativity: I've always laughed at the faces the girls make during the rose ceremonies. They all seem to get very depressed or angry until the point when they are chosen or not chosen. Then they go back to normal. But I noticed that when the guys show their negativity, either during the rose ceremony or when some other guy is hanging out with DeAnna, it's extremely unattractive! I found myself (instead of laughing) disliking each guy when his jealous face popped up.
So guys out there, take note: jealousy = BAD...
As I said in my previous post, I like DeAnna more now than I ever have in the past. The fact that she actually took the time to keep the guys happy says a lot. Too many women out there worry far too much about making themselves happy, and not enough about making their man happy. Trust me ladies - if you find the time each day to make sure your man is happy, you will find yourself a much happier person too! I know from whence I speak...
Enough preaching - on to the GUYS!!! :o)
*Brian W., a 31-year-old high school football coach from Weatherford, TX
Okay, we know Brian is out. But do we really know Brian? I don't think so. He was the first to admit that he had a great time hanging out with the guys and didn't spend enough time getting to know DeAnna. From what we've seen on the show, that seems like a pretty accurate assessment. Being a football coach, I have to assume on some small scale that he is more comfortable with a bunch of guys. DeAnna also stated at one point that he talked about the guys too much.
I've heard that he plays a fairly large part in an MMORPG (for you non-geeks, that's a "massive multi-player online role playing game"). Now that's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself. Before I had kids, my husband and I played Kingdom of Loathing (sarcastic fun for everyone!!!) for about two or three hours every night, for two months or so. It was great fun, but then it got old. I don't know how long he's been playing, but I think it can become a bit of an addiction for some people, and when that happens it could be a red flag. I know a lot of women who don't play with their husbands, and as a result they barely see them.
I don't know one bit how into gaming Brian is, but he did seem like a pretty nice guy, and it's sad that we won't actually get to know him better. Alas, 'twas not meant to be...
One quick note about Brian: when he was in the hot tub at the end, his hair didn't look grey and it was flatter on his head. I thought he looked MUCH hotter that way! Shame we didn't get to see more of that. NO ROSE!
*Fred, a 30-year-old lawyer from Chicago, IL
Okay, apparently everyone loves Fred! Nobody had anything bad to say about him. I was even impressed that Robert spoke highly of him. I think he got a lot more attractive when he went into serious mode. He just looks a little too goofy with a big 'ole grin on his face. And I don't know why, but I forgot until this episode that he's a lawyer. He doesn't seem like a lawyer. Too silly, maybe.
Not much more I can think to say about Fred. They didn't really show him enough to find out much about him. At least everyone on the show seemed to like him a lot. DeAnna just didn't quite like him enough. NO ROSE!
*Graham, a 29-year-old professional basketball player from Raleigh, NC
Okay, I stand by my last appraisal of Graham: DeAnna wants him BAD! She is dying for him to be the man she is looking for, and he is just a little too scared to do it. I think he could easily have wrapped this season up during that first one-on-one date at the beach. It's amazing what a little insecurity can do!
Graham seems to be playing a little of the same game that Shayne (aka Monkey) played on the last Bachelor: Hard-To-Get. I think it might bite him in the butt if he doesn't cut it out soon. She picked him last in the rose ceremony, and I think it's because she wanted him to sweat a little and realize that he's going to have to start doing some serious kissing 'n stuff if he wants to stick around! Way to work it, DeAnna! I approve, not because I think it's the best way to get some emotion out of a guy, but because I can't wait to watch him making out with her! I'm such a tart! ROSE!
*Jason, a 31-year-old account executive from Kirkland, WA
Jason had a unique and extremely lucky chance to be alone with DeAnna in her house for an entire night. Or did she plan it? We will never know...
It was nice to have an entire episode where we didn't have to hear about his son every time he spoke. I know that sounds harsh, but it was really nice to see him hug her when she got home and he saw how upset she was, and then hang out outside and comfort her. They seemed really comfortable together, and she snuggled into him like he was THE ONE. I think he's definitely got a lead over the others now. And has anyone noticed the poll on the right? Jason has taken a BIG lead in the past day! ROSE!
*Jeremy, a 30-year-old real estate attorney from Dallas, TX
Jeremy is losing ground. I think he might have peaked too early, and didn't have the personality to keep it going. I think I have yet to see him smile.
We didn't see him much this time, I think for the first time. That's really okay with me as I am not too impressed with him. His competitiveness during the stock car laps was pretty unattractive. Nothing wrong with a little competition as long as you can keep your sense of humor when it's not your career you're competing over. Competing for 10 minutes to spend with a girl that you're going to spend at least 5 minutes with anyway seems like a pretty silly thing to get angry over.
Also, taking two very competitive people and putting them in a relationship is usually not the best idea. Just my opinion... ROSE!
*Jesse, a 25-year-old professional snowboarder from Breckenridge, CO
Jesse got the one-on-one date this time. Making him dress up in a suit was pretty funny, but at least he didn't refuse to wear it. I think the whole night was perfect and he showed his serious side, but why oh WHY didn't he kiss her? She said that it was her chance to see if he could be husband material and not just a friend, and he spent all that time sitting at the dinner table telling her that he was into her, he even slow danced with her to a beautiful song in one of the most romantic settings possible, but NO KISS!!! What's up with that?
I think he just might get stuck in the "friend zone". We will see soon enough! ROSE!
*Robert, a 28-year-old chef from San Francisco, CA
Alright, who here thinks Robert turned his head just so all the ladies out there in the audience could see the tear fall slowly down his cheek?
I wouldn't trust this guy as far as I could throw him - and he's a pretty big guy...
He's also so full of himself that he was surprised when DeAnna cut him!?!
His drama-queen attitude was in full force at the picnic when he sulked into the back room and waited for DeAnna to come in and talk to him, just so that he could try and make the others look bad. BACKFIRE!!! Instead, she gets mad at him for walking away, and then confronts him later about his lack of communication! That DeAnna is a pretty smart girl!
I also noticed that all the guys as well as DeAnna had nothing but nice things to say about Fred on double-date night, and nobody really had much good to say about Robert. That was good for a laugh!
But we shouldn't worry or feel sorry for Robert. Now all the sorry women out there who want to date him because he was on this show will get their hearts broken by him while he uses the excuse that he can't open up to another girl so soon after having his heart broken by DeAnna. He's definitely got game. NO ROSE (thank the Lord)!
*Sean, a 33-year-old martial arts master from Crestwood, KY
Won the stock car race challenge (how FUN did that look?!!) and got a chance to know DeAnna better. It was nice to see him get some time with her. They apparently have a love for racing in common as well as some small town in some state Was it Kentucky? Sorry, California girl here!
I did notice that during the one-on-one time right after the racing, DeAnna gave him a really good opportunity (I think on purpose) to ask her about her mother. He didn't. Oops. I'll have to watch again, but I felt like I could read her mind there. I think she seemed disappointed, because she mentioned her mother dying, and he was just talking about the fact that they had lived in the same area, and she was hoping he would want to know more about her life by picking up on the comment about her mother dying. Hell, he didn't even bat an eyelash! Maybe he didn't hear her. She did give him the date rose, though, so I could be wrong. Or she could be giving him the benefit of the doubt.
He does look MUCH better without the mullet, quite handsome! I think getting the date rose helped bump up his self-esteem a little with her, which is a good thing. He has the potential to be the dashing leading man if he wants to be. And if he listens more closely. ROSE!
*Twilley, a 33-year-old software programmer from Tulsa, OK
Twilley put on a serious face this time! It looks a lot better than his funny face! But it might be too little, too late.
He did face his "motion sickness" issues and drive the stock car, which is a good thing (except that most people don't get motion sickness when driving, only as a passenger). He still seems very unsure of himself, and for good reason. I think he may be the next to leave, unless he can pull out some romance soon! ROSE!
I just have to say that after reviewing this episode, I am still left wanting more romance! Too bad the show is pre-taped. If not, we could have started a pool to pay Graham to step up the heat a bit! Graham, how much more do you need: the girl that has a bunch of other guys after her is practically begging you to kiss her???
There is a rumor that Graham leaves the show early, though I haven't heard any more details. I hope that's not true. If that really happens, I think it would leave DeAnna in the position of feeling like she might be choosing the wrong guy, just because Graham left early. It will be interesting to find out if the rumor is true...
So next week, we have an interview with DeAnna, and then more of the show, right? I hope so, I don't think I can take a two week interval between real episodes!
Tell me what you thought!
More in a few hours...
I need to start checking my tv listings - I completely missed last night's episode!
ABC.COM to the rescue! I just finished watching, and WOW! What a great week! I'm starting to like DeAnna more and more. She made me believe that she is in this for love, and that she is a good person inside. On most seasons of The Bachelor, the guy doesn't really do anything truly special for any one girl; he just goes on the dates and likes who he likes, and tells all the girls that he's into them. Okay, that's a bit of a generalization, but mostly it's true.
I've now seen DeAnna do a couple of things that were really special for the guy she was on a date with, and it shows how much she likes to make others happy and how important it is for the other person in her life (whoever that ends up being) to feel special too. I am impressed.
Now I could be sexist and say that it's because she's a girl and we love to please, but I'd prefer to just hope against hope that there are some men out there who like to make their woman feel special too! I'm not wrong, am I???
:o)
Anyhoo, I have to run to the gym (I want to look as good as DeAnna in a swimsuit!), but I'll be back in a few hours with my detailed update on the guys...
Enjoy your lunch (salad, right?) and check back this afternoon!

16 Down, 8 To Go... hey, we're already two-thirds done!
Alright, another marathon session of The Bachelorette last night! Is every episode going to be two hours? Not that I'm complaining...
I can't decide if I really like DeAnna or not (much like Ron can't - doh!). She seems really nice and then really full of herself at different points in time. When she was talking about her mother I almost cried (ever seen Terms of Endearment? I sobbed through that ending). The only reason I didn't cry is because the story didn't last long enough. What a horrible tragedy to have to go through as a child.
But then she makes the guys strip down to their undies for the general public to see and I want to slap her! And if she mentions wanting her "fairy-tale ending" again I'm going to start my own drinking game! Someone needs to tell her that there is a reason why it's called a fairy-tale ending.
She is, however, very good at demanding attention from the men. I actually like that in her. I think the men we usually fall in love with make us feel protected and adored. She is asking them all to be that way, so we will just have to see who steps up to the plate.
I also have one request for the show's producers: Can you please let the guys set up some dates next time? I think we could get to know them better if we could see where they would go and what they would do if they were setting up the evenings. Don't you think?
Okay, on to the guys...
*Brian W., a 31-year-old high school football coach from Weatherford, TX
Brian, Brian, Brian. Wait, was he there? I must have missed him. Seriously, though, I did notice one thing when they were all lined up in their skivvies: he's TALL!!! I like a tall man - makes me feel more feminine. Glad he's staying. I really want to see more of him next time. ROSE!
*Fred, a 30-year-old lawyer from Chicago, IL
Got the ELLEN rose! He seemed sincerely interested in DeAnna, and I liked him more after hearing Ellen talk about him being adorable, but he needs to step it up even more and make the time to hang out with DeAnna. And - sorry if this offends anyone but hey, it's my blog - I CANNOT HANDLE THE ACCENT! I just keep picturing that stupid skit from SNL about -da bears- and I start laughing! ROSE!
*Graham, a 29-year-old professional basketball player from Raleigh, NC
Poor Graham! He seems to be going down in flames! He's losing any semblance of self-esteem he portrayed at the beginning of the season. He talked down about himself, telling Jason not to take any one-on-one date advice from him.
There is, however, one thing Graham has going for him: DeAnna wants him BAD! I didn't really understand their last conversation when he told her he had concerns and that he could compromise?! But I noticed that SHE went in for the kiss, not him. She's aching for him to be a strong, romantic leading man. I just don't think he really has it in him. The previews also showed them arguing next week and it looked like he was being jealous of the other guys. If that's true, I would love to wish him a fond farewell. Jealousy is a deal breaker for me... ROSE (but it's wilting)!
*Jason, a 31-year-old account executive from Kirkland, WA
I hate to say it because I really didn't want to like him, but I LIKE HIM! I don't really find him all that attractive, but when he asked about DeAnna's mother, I knew it was going to impress her. I CALLED IT BEFORE SHE SAID IT, I SWEAR! Hell, it impressed me, and I'm not that easy to impress - especially when you already have a kid and an ex-wife.
The other reason I am really starting to like him is this: when he kisses her, he holds her chin. There is just something about being kissed while a guy is holding your chin or cupping the jaw/back of the neck area! Sends shivers up my spine just thinking about it. Why don't all guys kiss that way??? Someone should really tell the whole male population about those two moves. We'd all be much happier ladies!
DeAnna said on the show that if she really likes Jason, that she will be able to deal with his son and his ex-wife. For her sake, I hope she knows a smidgen of what she's talking about in that respect. There really is nothing harder to deal with (except ludicrously harsh things like adultery and drug addiction) in a good relationship than a child who will always take precedence over you and an ex-wife who might secretly enjoy making you feel like second fiddle.
On another note, I was EXTREMELY impressed and pleasantly surprised by DeAnna's thoughtful gift to Jason! It showed consideration for him and his son that I really haven't seen her - as the one BEING courted - show yet. ROSE!
*Jeremy, a 30-year-old real estate attorney from Dallas, TX
Jeremy must be happier than spit now that Ron's out. First Ryan, then Ron, just badgering Jeremy to death out of jealously (in my opinion). I haven't particularly seen a spectacular personality in Jeremy, but I have seen that most of the time he has a pretty good sense of humor, and yet the men cut him ZERO slack! Luckily he has DeAnna for a bodyguard. I'm betting that the rest of the guys (if they have brains) have realized not to mess with the Golden Child. ROSE (did you have any doubts?)!
*Jesse, a 25-year-old professional snowboarder from Breckenridge, CO
Didn't see too much interaction between him and DeAnna this week, but I did notice that a lot of the guys seem to be taking advice from him. Is that because he was in DeAnna's house? Perhaps. He was the first to rescue DeAnna when she faked an injury. That was nice, although I think more importantly Ron didn't even take a step in her direction! He had a talk with DeAnna about living with your significant other before marriage, and they both agreed it was a good idea. Now we know that Ryan never had a chance (did I say that out loud?).
Jesse still seems like the most down-to-earth one of the pack. My biggest problem with Jesse - and I hate to even type it but here goes - I think he's kind of ugly. I know I said that a guy can grow on you if you like their personality, but I don't think I like his enough to get past the visual. Slap me now, I'm a shallow heartless b****, I know... ROSE!
*Paul, a 23-year-old sales manager from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Didn't see much of Paul. I don't even have any notes written down about him at all. That could be why he didn't fare so well this week. Guess I don't have to worry about it anymore. SEE YA!
*Richard, a 27-year-old science teacher from Binghamton, NY
So sad... Richard has left the building. Was he just the most nervous guy in that Cinderella carriage or what??? I'm hoping that he didn't go in for the kiss because he felt the vibe was wrong, not becuase he was too scared. The strange thing about Richard is that he seemed like a genuine good person that got dumped. I spend so much time thinking of guys as scum looking to get some, and then this guys shows up and you can tell he has had a big blow to his self-esteem because of this - just like when I got dumped in the past! So you're telling me not all men are pigs? Good thing we have Ron to keep my mind from wandering too much (did I mention I don't really like Ron yet?)
I would love to set Richard up with some truly nice, honest, caring, sweet girl, but the only one I know is my grandma, and she's married and a little too old for him. Ah well, I will miss you Richard... BYE-BYE!
*Robert, a 28-year-old chef from San Francisco, CA
Collar up again! Who told this generation about that ridiculous style? That is sooooooooo 1985!
Robert bugged me this week. It's the first time we've really got to see a lot of him, and what does he do to win DeAnna's heart? He reels her in like a fish on a hook. Let me explain: he tells her he is willing to leave if there is no chemistry between them. This works with weaker women, so I'm surprised it worked with DeAnna. You always want the one that doesn't 'really' want you all that bad. It means they must be better than you, and they suddenly become more desirable.
By the way, it works the opposite way too: you don't respect the guy that wants you too much, because it means that you must be better than them. Oh the silly games we women can play if we want to...
So Robert stays, but I'm not happy about it. ROSE!
*Ron, a 36-year-old barber shop owner from Kansas City, MO
Let's sing together - Haaaa-le-lu-jah! Haaaa-le-lu-jah! Ha-le-lu-jah, Ha-le-lu-jah... you get the picture. I was beaming when DeAnna called him out on being a jerk to Jeremy, and I was beaming again when Jeremy called him out on it too! No tact? Hi kettle, it's pot - you're black! Only he was talking to a stainless steel mixing bowl, not a kettle. I can't write too much about him, because it will just be a bunch of poison spewed onto my computer screen, and I can't have that.
I can say this: thanks for giving Sean a haircut. (Glad I never have to) SEE YA (again)! (Oh wait, there's that reunion thing, isn't there? Darn!)
*Sean, a 33-year-old martial arts master from Crestwood, KY
He got a haircut. And was apparently stricken with laryngitis for the entire show. Was he even there? Oh yeah, he got a haircut. Now I remember. I like the haircut. He seems much more mature now. How can a haircut do that? ROSE!
*Twilley, a 33-year-old software programmer from Tulsa, OK
Alright. Twilley. Twilley, my dear, if you want to be the class clown, you have to be FUNNY!!! I have a feeling that he might be a crackup in a normal situation when he isn't so nervous. He's just WAY too nervous around her! Poor guy. He also hasn't shown any "man"-ness. Does that make sense? From what I've seen so far, he wouldn't make me feel protected and adored. He needs to stand taller or something. I don't know. I can't pinpoint it.
Shallow note: his lips are too thin and tight. I don't like big puffy lips on a guy (see Jeremy) but I like a nice soft kiss. I think kissing Twilley might feel like kissing a set of dentures. ROSE!
Next week they race cars (the network will probably double their viewership because the guys will all sit with their women to watch that part) and they write songs for DeAnna. Because anyone can write a song, right? It doesn't take skill or talent. It's just a song.
Can you hear the sarcasm dripping onto the floor?
Tell me what you thought!
Update Coming Later Today
Thanks for stopping by - I'm a little pressed for time today so I will give you my opinions on last night's show later in the day... thanks for waiting!!!
Hugs and Kisses!

And then there were twelve!
Am I missing something, or is there no spark yet this season? Why am I not feeling any of this:
Is it too soon still? Maybe I'm just jet lagged from plunging into The Bachelorette immediately after The Bachelor ended. I want more ROMANCE!!!
Okay, I'm calm... It was another two-hour marathon of a show last night! It definitely gave us time to get to know the guys a little better... good for some, not for others!
I may go back and rewatch the show to get some of the details I might have missed, but for now, here are my thoughts after watching last night's show:
*Brian W., a 31-year-old high school football coach from Weatherford, TX
Brian seems like a nice guy still. I haven't seen him act like a jerk when DeAnna isn't around (like some of the others have). He's pretty quiet, but I noticed that he seemed to be pretty comfortable when just sitting around talking to DeAnna. ROSE!
*Chris, a 29-year-old medical sales rep from Dallas, TX
Other than singing badly (why, ABC, did I have to see that 5 times last night???) he didn't really make the time to hang out with DeAnna one-on-one. His loss. He seemed very upset when he got the boot; he didn't even want to look at her, and quickly looked and walked away after giving her a hug at the end. He couldn't get over the fact that he sucked at baseball when that's "his thing". I think in the end his pride was hurt, not his heart. NO ROSE...
*Eric, a 31-year-old senior analyst from Boston, MA (originally from Greece)
Alright, I'm Greek. So is he. So is DeAnna. Doesn't mean any of us are meant for each other! Why anyone would assume that heritage means a love connection is beyond me. Although DeAnna is Greek, I never got the impression that it's a super-important factor when she falls in love. Come on, look at Brad! SO.NOT.GREEK. But Eric couldn't get past it, and he paid the price. NO ROSE...
*Fred, a 30-year-old lawyer from Chicago, IL
By the end of the show, I thought he was out. I still don't think I've heard this guy speak a sentence after the initial introductions right out of the limo! DeAnna kept saying how she wanted these guys to put themselves out there for her, but I never saw him do this. I think if she'd had to kick off four guys last night he would have been the fourth. ROSE (for now)!
*Graham, a 29-year-old professional basketball player from Raleigh, NC
Alright, Bruce Dern aside, DeAnna is right about Graham: he's pretty smokin' hot! But his demeanor on the one-on-one date really freaked me out. He wouldn't make eye contact! That was the most romantic scenario in history, and they sat there next to each other, her looking at him, and him looking off to the side. Something's wrong here. He is either insanely nervous around her (which is odd since he doesn't seem like the shy type around the guys), or he just has really low self-esteem in general (which is also odd since he's DAMN good lookin'). Or maybe he just isn't into her, in which case he's a class-A liar. I'm rooting for him now, but only because I want to see him get over the nervous behavior and be the romantic leading man he could be. What can I say, it's a little self-serving, but I want to feel the butterflies, and he might be the only one on the show that could do it for me at this point! ROSE (of course)!
*Jason, a 31-year-old account executive from Kirkland, WA
Chickened out and didn't tell her about his son. You could tell he really wanted to, but just lost his nerve. At least we see him tell the guys and confess that he just can't keep it a secret anymore. That's good because a child shouldn't have to be a secret. I didn't realize his son was so young - only 3 years old! I have a 3 year old daughter right now, and I could never leave her for a month or two to go find love... guess it's different with guys (or at least with this guy). Jason is growing on me a little, though. He seems like less of a jerk than he did in previous scenes. I think the fact that he admitted that DeAnna hasn't seen the "real him" because she doesn't know him as a father won me over a little. Nevertheless, we now know that he tells her the "big secret" next week, so time will soon tell how DeAnna feels about the news. ROSE!
*Jeremy, a 30-year-old real estate attorney from Dallas, TX
Got another quick rose after telling DeAnna that both of his parents have passed away. But I still don't know much about him except for that. I do like the fact that he got a little romantic with her! It's about time someone showed some romantic interest (but I'm still not seeing sparks flying). The one thing I brought away from his talk with DeAnna in the dugout was how she really didn't seem too moved by the death of his mother, but when she heard his father had died, her reaction changed. I know her mother has passed away, and I guess the coincidence caused her to react how she did, but it bugged me a little.
Jeremy also got lots of s*** for taking her away to talk to her again on the last night. On the past shows, this behavior has typically meant that the person is either very competitive or just actually INTO the other person. I hope it's the latter for DeAnna's sake; she seems really into him. (picky points for me: his chin is too thin for such a square jaw, and too many freckles - I just can't stop staring at them when he's on the screen...) ROSE!
*Jesse, a 25-year-old professional snowboarder from Breckenridge, CO
Alright, I have to confess: I don't think Jesse is the best looking guy on the show, but I really like him anyway! He seems like the most genuine guy there at this point. When he was talking to DeAnna, he was at ease, having a good time, and being himself. This is the kind of guy you are friends with for awhile, and then you slowly start to like him romantically, and as time goes on he just seems cuter and cuter because of who he actually is inside. In my opinion, this is the best kind of guy to end up with! I'm glad she didn't cut him the first night! Side note: I think he was the most excited to see Tommy Lasorda too! ROSE!
*Paul, a 23-year-old sales manager from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
I was as surprised as him to see him get the "date rose". He looked so young (and short!) sitting on that bar stool confessing his desires to her. His behavior epitomizes the problem I would have if going on this show: any time a guy starts talking about wanting to settle down, I immediately assume it's a line and that he's just a scumbag trying to get some. So now I don't trust him, but obviously she does. ROSE!
*Richard, a 27-year-old science teacher from Binghamton, NY
Is it just me, or did Richard seem a little less cute this week? Maybe he just didn't smile enough, or his personality wasn't warm enough. He kind of creeped me out. I don't know what happened; he was my first pick last week! I can't even remember their conversation on the magic date. I just remember that he didn't strike me as the handsome guy I wanted to get to know last week. I hope he redeems himself next week... ROSE!
*Robert, a 28-year-old chef from San Francisco, CA
If I were the Bachelorette, this guy would have been tossed from my list the moment he stepped foot in public wearing a pink polo shirt with the collar up... just my opinion, folks! I still haven't seen a sweet side to this guy, and I think this is just a competition for him, not a chance at finding love. I haven't really seen him spend any quality time getting to know DeAnna. On a side note: I can't stand it when the guys or girls talk about "getting a rose" all the time. I'd much rather hear them say "I want her to keep me around" or something like that. The whole "I want that rose!" thing strikes me as competitive just for the sake of being competitive. ROSE!
*Ron, a 36-year-old barber shop owner from Kansas City, MO
This guy needs to go. End of story. He has shown himself to be the angry divorced guy. His smiles seem insincere, he is too abrupt, and FAR too negative. He has a BIG chip on his shoulder. This is the type of guy that makes me wish the producers would secretly let the Bachelorettes/Bachelors watch the videos of the others while they are just hanging out with the other competitors. If she had seen his behavior when she was out of the room, I don't think she would have kept him. ROSE (unfortunately)!
*Ryan, a 28-year-old professional football player from Lakeville, MN
Another guy with a BIG chip on his shoulder! I hate to say this, but this guy needs to get laid. Okay, that was a joke! Maybe he just needs to go to an amusement park and have some fun! He's way too serious and preoccupied with his being "different" from everyone else. He must have said it four or five times! At some point he has to stop trying to be different and just be himself. He also seemed to want to blame his not getting a rose on his religious fervor and virginity. I think that's unfair and shows that it's a problem for him, not her. If he made a decision to live his life like he has, then why would he need to make such a big deal out of it? It is what it is, and he is what he is. I think he may have wasted much of his life using his lifestyle choices as an excuse to avoid looking at himself in a more critical light. He needs to work on being a nicer person and less judgemental. And FYI to you, Ryan: there are plenty of people out there who have decided to stick to their religious beliefs and wait for sex until marriage. You aren't "different" from EVERYONE. You are PART OF A GROUP. Hate to burst your bubble, buddy. NO ROSE...
*Sean, a 33-year-old martial arts master from Crestwood, KY
Poor Sean! That piano fiasco was horrendous and funny all at the same time! But he took it really well, I thought. Did you catch him doing push ups on his fingertips and knuckles??? He is growing on me, but I don't think he's the guy for DeAnna. They just don't strike me as being really compatible, but I'm not sure why. I would like to see him on a one-on-one date with her to see how they get along for an extended period of time. I could be completely wrong! I think he seems too mature for her in a way. ROSE!
*Twilley, a 33-year-old software programmer from Tulsa, OK
Twilley went up to talk to DeAnna after her date with Graham, which creeped her out a little. I think he had good intentions, though. Was it Jason that convinced him to do it? WHY? If Jason really likes her, why would he encourage Twilley to go spend more time with her? That one really baffled me. I think Twilley has a hard time being serious and romantic in general. He may have a self-esteem issue. He's like the class clown; they usually act out so you can't see the "real" them, because they don't think the "real" them would be good enough. I think the right girl could help him with this problem, but this show is not the correct format for that. If he was the Bachelor, I think his whole demeanor would be completely different. I hope we get to see more of his serious (and not ridiculously nervous) side next week... ROSE!

New Contest - Why is DeAnna yelling at the guys?
Sign in and post a comment giving me your detailed explanation of why you think DeAnna was yelling at the guys in the previews! Whoever gets the closest (in my humble opinion) wins the prize!
Prize this contest is a necklace made by yours truly! I haven't made any jewelry for awhile, so it's not absolutely perfect, but I like it! The chain and wire are sterling silver (the beads are not). The pendant is approximately 1 1/2 inches tall and 1 inch wide. The wire is 24 gauge.
I don't know if this part of the season will air this week or later, so who knows when this contest will be over. Get your answer in soon (you must be signed in to your blogger/blogpost account to enter - otherwise I won't be able to confirm your identity). Good luck!

Jason's Decision not to Mention his Son
I have been thinking today about Jason's decision not to mention his son to DeAnna on the first night.
I've read elsewhere that people understand why he didn't, and I do too. But I think he should have told her.
I came to this conclusion after thinking about how I would feel if I were in DeAnna's shoes. I think I might feel a little betrayed. I know it is important to get to know someone's personality without judging them based on their circumstances, but I also think being a parent is such a large part of who someone is that it just isn't fair to leave it out.
I personally can't even imagine having a conversation with someone without mentioning my kids in some fashion at least once, if not many times!
Also, as a father, his son should be his number one priority, so don't even get me started on the fact that he's on the show in the first place. Not sure if someone else convinced him it might be worth it to spend 6 weeks away from his son, or if he came to that conclusion on his own, but I think it's a little irresponsible.
He should have told her the truth. A lie by omission is still a lie. If he wants a chance with DeAnna, she needs to like him AS a father, not in spite of that fact.
The Bachelorette with Deanna Pappas - Week One
What a night! I was laughing most of the time, and a little frightened once or twice!
The guys will get chances to stay up at DeAnna's house throughout the show, which should be very interesting!
I find it interesting how different the show seems when there are 25 men trying to woo one woman instead of the other way around. It sort of makes the guys all look like players, don't you think? When there is just one guy and a bunch of women, the women seem like gold diggers and the guy seems honorable (at least until he starts making out with ALL OF THEM!) Perhaps I just have a jaded point of view.
I also saw her crying and yelling at the guys in one of the future shows, and that makes me wonder if she didn't walk in on them either making light of the situation or saying raunchy stuff about her. Can't wait to find out, she seemed very upset!
Below are my impressions of the guys after the first show. Do you agree?
*Brian W., a 29-year-old computer network consultant from New Castle, IN
Nothing says "I'm shallow and conceited!" more than showing off your rock-hard abs and making others touch them... nice abs, though! Buh-bye!*Brian W., a 31-year-old high school football coach from Weatherford, TX
I didn't get much of an impression of him. They didn't show him much. He did get a rose, though, so hopefully we will get to know him a little better.*Chandler, a 25-year-old insurance representative from Spotsylvania, VA
A duck-call. Really? NOT romantic! He thought he blew his chance to make a good impression, and I agree. He would have been better off going with the flow and switching out of serious mode and into fun mode since Brian was sitting there being a goof. And did I see correctly? Did he cry at the end?!! Buh-bye!*Chris, a 29-year-old medical sales rep from Dallas, TX
Chris didn't stand out much to me, but at least he was honest about dying if he was ever forced to wrestle a bear! I caught a little bit of his sense of humor there and like what I saw.*Donato, a 26-year-old sales representative from Charleston, SC
A front runner for the Fool Contest. What makes anyone on this show think that drinking to excess will do anything but reduce their chances of getting a rose? Hitting on Jenni was classic, and showed his true intentions. Buh-bye!*Eric, a 31-year-old senior analyst from Boston, MA (originally from Greece)
Didn't see too much of him except to find out that he has a very traditional Greek family. I don't know that this will help him actually. DeAnna picked up right away on his attachment to his mother, and I'm not sure that DeAnna being part Greek would make his mother happy. I have the feeling that someone as independent as DeAnna might not fly so well. (And to be a little picky here, but his nose is too pointy!) But he got a rose, so we'll have to wait and see!*Fred, a 30-year-old lawyer from Chicago, IL
Definitely a goofy guy, but she picked the two goofiest guys that were in attendance, so she must like goofy! The bear hug thing was cute.*Graham, a 29-year-old professional basketball player from Raleigh, NC
One of the cutest on the show in my opinion! Glad he got a rose! And he's got that great Carolina accent. He also seemed pretty well spoken and charming. He looks to me like he could be the son of Bruce Dern (I know, that's a random comment, it just hit me while I was watching him).
Do you agree?
*Greg, a 28-year-old personal trainer from New York, NYOkay, my prediction about this guy was WAY off! What a freak! Almost certainly on steroids (see chest acne and stretch marks on his pectorals). One of the winners of my Fool Contest. Watching him rip off his shirt and howl at the moon was one of the scariest moments of the night - scratch that - THE scariest moment of the night. Buh-bye!*Jason, a 31-year-old account executive from Kirkland, WA
Okay, Jason has a kid. That's a big liability in the dating scene. He obviously knows this and chose not to tell DeAnna about his son on the first night. I don't know if I agree with that decision or not. One thing I did NOT like is the fact that he had let his son in on the details of the show, even asking if he was going to make something for DeAnna?! I also understand that he's Jewish (tell me if I'm wrong on that) and if he's very religious, then he should have told her that, too. Everyone seems to really like this guy, but I tend to disagree. Oh well, he got a rose, so he's here for at least one more week!*Jeffrey, a 27-year-old math teacher from Orlando, FL
It didn't look like he got a lot of time with DeAnna. That's unfortunate, because he seemed pleasant. Alas, it was not meant to be. Buh-bye!*Jeremy, a 30-year-old real estate attorney from Dallas, TX
He got the first first-impression rose. Didn't really see too much of him after that. We'll have to wait until next week to find out more!*Jesse, a 25-year-old professional snowboarder from Breckenridge, CO
Showed up in jeans and a crazy jacket! The second goof (see Fred above) of the night that charmed the lovely DeAnna. He was doing okay in my book until he told the other guys about Sean's antics and said something about almost "pooping" his pants. Don't know why, but that term just shouldn't come out of a guy whose already past puberty (unless he's talking about a baby).*Jon, a 35-year-old resort manager from Surfside Beach, SC
All I saw of him was him talking about getting a rose. Didn't really see him talking to DeAnna, so I didn't get much of an impression from him. Too late now, buh-bye!*Luke, a 27-year-old oyster farmer from Folly Beach, SC
Okay, obviously nervous, stupid answer to her request for something funny. Then he gave her a pearl necklace. Seriously? Nobody he knows told him about that term before he went on the show? Too bad... but it made for a priceless joke by some other guy later on in the show. One guy gives her a pearl necklace, and another gives her crabs. All joking aside, though, Luke may have been a nice guy, but he needs a quick jolt of electricity to the personality if he's going to catch himself a lady! Buh-bye!*Patrick C., a 26-year-old financial analyst from Glenwood, IL
Too quiet. Never made an impression with DeAnna that I could see. I liked his dance in front of Jenni, though! He should have done some fun stuff like that when he was with DeAnna; it might have made a difference. Buh-bye!*Patrick D., a 27-year-old Internet marketer from Elmhurst, IL
Kind of quiet; he didn't really stand out much. It says something that I remember him from his face, but couldn't remember his name at all. Buh-bye!*Paul, a 23-year-old sales manager from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Second winner of the Fool Contest! It may have been a crazy stunt, but at least he was trying! And the underwear shows that (like DeAnna) he likes surprises and plans them ahead of time. There is nothing better in my book than a guy that spends time thinking of how to make you laugh and planning out great surprises. These are the kind of guys that stay married, because their wives are always falling in love with them over and over again!*Richard, a 27-year-old science teacher from Binghamton, NY
Got the third first-impression rose. I agree wholeheartedly! What a sweetie! At this point, I hope he wins. He's sweet, honest, sincere, and cute. What can I say, I like the cute but nerdy types!*Robert, a 28-year-old chef from San Francisco, CA
Cooked her a crab dish. Another joke waiting to happen, and it did. Couldn't he have picked another dish? He seemed a little too sure of himself. Not my type. I preferred the unassuming charm of Rich.*Ron, a 36-year-old barber shop owner from Kansas City, MO
Slapped his divorce on the table HARD! Definitely honest. DeAnna mentioned to another guy that marriage was a one-time-only thing for her, so how she reconciles that with a divorcee is unclear. His honesty and directness seem very similar to DeAnna's to me, so we will have to see how that pans out. People often cannot handle someone who is too similar to themselves.*Ryan, a 28-year-old professional football player from Lakeville, MN
I wasn't expecting a religious virgin when I first saw this guy! It's impressive, but I'm not sure why he would want to court someone who is not a virgin (I'm assuming here, of course). I didn't see much of a personality, though, which is too bad. I can't imaging how nice it must be to never have to think about the women that your man has been with before you!*Sean, a 33-year-old martial arts master from Crestwood, KY
He seemed very nice and mature, if just a TINY bit full of himself. But hey, he has reason to be! The mullet should go. There's also a slight possibility that he's a smooth talker and isn't really as cool as he's making himself out to be. I haven't decided how I feel about him yet.*Spero, a 38-year-old actor from Santa Monica, CA
Never really saw him talking to DeAnna, just the other guys. I think he may have been too nervous to do much else. Oh well, buh-bye!*Twilley, a 33-year-old software programmer from Tulsa, OK
I think Twilley will be the 'problem-child' of the house. Seems a bit strange, and happy about it. He may have all kinds of crazy bottled up in that head. He may just make the show into a 'drama'!Tell me what you thought!
Next Rose Ceremony Game - Pick your Top 12!

I can't decide so you BOTH WIN!

ChappyGirlTx, Codysbride06, and aggerttfamily, go to www.littlesnowbird.com and pick out a flavor, then email me at admin@littlesnowbird.com with your tea flavor choice and shipping address, then leave a comment on this post confirming the Subject line of your email (so I know for sure it's you!) and I will get your prizes out to you!

Okay, post your comments below on who you think will make the biggest fool of themselves on the first night!

The winner will receive a bag of yummy flavored tea in a brushed-silver colored tea tin from my tea company Little Snowbird Tea! There are loads of flavors to choose from, and the winner will get their pick!

Good luck and let's have some fun!
Bachelorette Premiere May 19, 2008!
It's that time again! Time to watch 25 hot men compete for one woman! DeAnna is going to have her hands full!
There is definitely a big range in looks this season. No matter what type of guy is your 'style', you're bound to find him here!
One thing they all have in common - they're pretty easy on the eyes! I know I won't have any problem watching this season!
Join me as I detail DeAnna's journey through the land of love - on her own terms this time!
Here's the skinny on the guys:
*Brian W., a 29-year-old computer network consultant from New Castle, IN
Kinda hunky! Squared jaw, pretty eyes. I think he might look even better without such a short haircut. His job says he's smart too!*Brian W., a 31-year-old high school football coach from Weatherford, TX
Pretty cute, but he needs to lose the grey hair (unless you like the Taylor Hicks thing). Come on, Brian, you're only 31! He's still darn cute even with grey hair. And being a high school coach, I bet he's in great shape!*Chandler, a 25-year-old insurance representative from Spotsylvania, VA
Sort of looks like Prince William with a bigger nose. Not sure about this guy, does "insurance representative" mean salesman? I don't trust salesman. (And he lives in Spotsylvania??? Sounds like a town for vampire dalmations!)*Chris, a 29-year-old medical sales rep from Dallas, TX
Looks like the typical tall, dark and handsome man you'd love to meet! But another salesman... well, hopefully he has that charming southern accent!*Donato, a 26-year-old sales representative from Charleston, SC
Looks like the boy next door! Again with the salesmen, sheesh! But coming from South Carolina, I KNOW he'll have a great accent! I bet he even says "Yes, Ma'am" and "No, Sir"... too sexy!*Eric, a 31-year-old senior analyst from Boston, MA (originally from Greece)
A Greek! My favorite! Classic good looks, sharp features, romantic smile! This one looks good!*Fred, a 30-year-old lawyer from Chicago, IL
This guy's got a twinkle in his eye - he looks mischievous! I bet he has a great sense of humor. And he's a LAWYER! Smart and with loads of potential!*Graham, a 29-year-old professional basketball player from Raleigh, NC
Rugged good looks, 5-o'clock shadow, beautiful eyes and bright white teeth! He's from North Carolina, so again another charming accent, I bet! And he has an interesting job! Sounds exciting to me!*Greg, a 28-year-old personal trainer from New York, NY
Looks like the high school football star - but with earrings! Nice smile, and he's a personal trainer = GREAT BODY!*Jason, a 31-year-old account executive from Kirkland, WA
Clean-cut, tall, dark and handsome type. Perfect teeth!*Jeffrey, a 27-year-old math teacher from Orlando, FL
What a smile! So warm and friendly! More great teeth! (How do they all get such wonderful white smiles?) And a math teacher - an intellectual!*Jeremy, a 30-year-old real estate attorney from Dallas, TX
Real estate attorney = secure lifestyle! I would love to see his parents - he has striking features, a dark complexion and hair, and I think I see a load a freckles?! An interesting combination, that's for sure! He has a passionate, piercing gaze!*Jesse, a 25-year-old professional snowboarder from Breckenridge, CO
He's a snowboarder by profession, and he looks the part! With long, scruffy hair and slightly unshaven, he looks like a partier! Could be loads of fun!*Jon, a 35-year-old resort manager from Surfside Beach, SC
Very clean-cut, BIG smile, and also a mischievous twinkle in his eye, like Fred! These two might cause some trouble if they become friends!*Luke, a 27-year-old oyster farmer from Folly Beach, SC
He looks kind of sweet and unassuming. Not the best smile, but hey, maybe he was nervous! He's an oyster farmer - what in the world is an oyster farmer? Hopefully we find out!*Patrick C., a 26-year-old financial analyst from Glenwood, IL
Another ruggedly handsome contender! Medium-length hair all the way down to his eyebrows and a thinner face. He looks sort of British to me! And a financial analyst is a nice thing to have around!*Patrick D., a 27-year-old Internet marketer from Elmhurst, IL
This guy must have been the high school football star! Big jaw, thick neck, but also very pretty eyes! I bet he's really tall! I also bet he has a great sense of humor.*Paul, a 23-year-old sales manager from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
A Canadian! He's the youngest of the bunch, and he definitely looks like it! Very clean cut, but I can't see his teeth. Oh well, maybe next week he'll have something to smile about!*Richard, a 27-year-old science teacher from Binghamton, NY
A tall, dark and handsome science teacher! Can't really find any flaws in his beautiful smile! He should have a good conversation with Jeffrey about teaching and whatnot.*Robert, a 28-year-old chef from San Francisco, CA
Wow! What a hunk! And any man that can cook gets bonus points in my book! Here is his website: http://theguysguide.tv/.*Ron, a 36-year-old barber shop owner from Kansas City, MO
Looks like he's smirking in his bio pic; the photographer must have said something really annoying at that moment! Don't know what to think about this guy yet. He owns his own business, so that says a lot. Definitely some potential!*Ryan, a 28-year-old professional football player from Lakeville, MN
Not smiling, but still looks great! He's got the handsome and passionate look going on! And another pro sports player - he's got to be in great shape too!*Sean, a 33-year-old martial arts master from Crestwood, KY
Crystal-blue eyes, cleft chin, scruffy haircut, and a warm smile - he's gorgeous! He's also a martial arts master, which sounds fascinating! I bet he has a very grounded personality and is really easy to talk to... I'm keeping my eye on this one!*Spero, a 38-year-old actor from Santa Monica, CA
An actor living in Southern California - sounds like Shayne, the winner of the most recent Bachelor! I don't think his glasses fit his face very well. I think he would look much better with contacts and a longer hairstyle! He's also the oldest one in the bunch.*Twilley, a 33-year-old software programmer from Tulsa, OK
Another tall, dark and handsome, hometown boy! His eyes are set farther apart than most of the other men here, which is a disarming feature that makes most people feel very relaxed. A good quality to have!
